If the second graders visiting the lab on Monday were the trailblazers, then the middle school groups arriving later in the week were the pioneers. There may not be tables and chairs, but who needs furniture anyway! For the first time ever class was held in the new Innovation Lab on Friday. The wired internet connections will be necessary for some of the work we will be doing this year and they worked perfectly. Students seemed to enjoy lounging on the cool floor as they designed Minecraft worlds and programmed games. Furniture will return to the lab this week and very soon classes will become a regular occurrence. The settlers are expected to be students working on digital content creation, problem solving, prototyping and inventing, etc.
